Toiletry set. Paris, ap. 1838 (Minerve). Various items in a veneered wood box with leather-lined compartments, monogrammed BL. It includes : a pair of flasks, two pairs of boxes, a rectangular box, a soap box, an inkwell, all in cut-edge glass, the silver lid engraved with the same monogram in the center of a cartouche decorated with flowers, rocaille and volutes, two later TG monogrammed brushes, a penholder with a BL monogrammed stamp, two hooks, an embroidery needle, a spectacle case, a magnifying glass, a mechanical pencil engraved JIF, two hatpins with imitation pearls, a mirror flush with the inside of the lid. A silver egg spoon is included. The box is marked on the brass rim: ''Peret, R. Montmorency St Martin 19 Paris''. Accident to a bottle and stopper. Lids marked ''PERET A PARIS''. Silver weight (lids): 220 g.
